Are morning people born or made? You will find the answer by reading these tips

It’s hard to become an early riser using the wrong strategy. But with the right strategy, it’s relatively easy. The most important thing to keep in mind is that you have to be motivated to get out of bed.

Some tips for becoming an early riser:

Don’t make drastic changes. Start slowly, by waking just 15-30 minutes earlier than usual. Get used to this for a few days. Then cut back another 15 minutes. Do this gradually until you get to your goal time.

Allow yourself to sleep earlier. You might be used to staying up late, perhaps watching TV or surfing the Internet. But if you continue this habit, while trying to get up earlier, sooner or later one is going to give. And if it is the early rising that gives, then you will crash and sleep late and have to start over. I suggest going to bed earlier, even if you don’t think you’ll sleep, and read while in bed. If you’re really tired, you just might fall asleep much sooner than you think.

Plan your day the night before. Writing down all the big, important things you’ll be doing the next day give you the extra spring in your step to wake up early and quickly. If you’ve got a purpose, you’ve got a big reason to wake up.

Don’t eat directly before bed. If you eat more than two hours before you go to bed, your body will have to digest the food, keeping you awake.

Put your alarm clock far from you bed. If it’s right next to your bed, you’ll shut it off or hit snooze. Never hit snooze. If it’s far from your bed, you have to get up out of bed to shut it off. By then, you’re up. Now you just have to stay up.

Go out of the bedroom as soon as you shut off the alarm. Don’t allow yourself to rationalize going back to bed. Just force yourself to go out of the room.

Don’t lie in bed awake. The goal is to almost literally jump out of bed. The longer you stay in your bed, the more tempting it is to hit the snooze. And getting 10-20 minutes extra sleep after you’ve already woken doesn’t really help you. It sends you back into a restless sleep that drains your energy before repeating the torturous process of waking up… again.

Do not rationalize. If you allow your brain to talk you out of getting up early, you’ll never do it. Don’t make getting back in bed an option.

Be Consistent. Make sure that you go to bed and wake up every day at the same time. Consistency develops habits, and waking up early is only a habit.

Allow yourself to sleep in once in awhile. Despite what I just said in the previous point, once in awhile it’s nice to sleep in. As long as it’s not a regular thing. I do it maybe once a week or so.

Make waking up early a reward. Yes, it might seem at first that you’re forcing yourself to do something hard, but if you make it pleasurable, soon you will look forward to waking up early. Other rewards might be a tasty treat for breakfast (smoothies! yum!) or watching the sunrise, or meditating. Find something that’s pleasurable for you, and allow yourself to do it as part of your morning routine. Occasionally give yourself rewards to anticipate the next day. A favorite show, ice cream, your favorite breakfast… anything for you to look forward to.

Take advantage of all that extra time. Don’t wake up an hour or two early just to read your blogs, unless that’s a major goal of yours. Don’t wake up early and waste that extra time. Get a jump start on your day! Use the extra time productively. – What’s the point of getting up a few hours earlier if you don’t do anything productive with the time? Your brain is pretty smart, and if it figures out that waking up earlier doesn’t really have any benefits, game over. There has to be a reason for getting up.

Enjoy the break of dawn!As much as you can, look outside (or better yet, get outside!) and watch the sky turn light. It’s beautiful. And it’s quiet and peaceful. It’s my favorite time of day. Getting up early is a reward in itself for me.

A very famous quote…

“Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise”

Digital cameras bundled with today’s smart phones are getting better and better with more mega-pixels, better quality lenses, more storage space, high resolution, focusing, video capabilities, Geo-tagging facial recognition and flash.

Sometimes , you don’t really need an high-end expensive DSLR with a many mega-pixels to produce good pictures. A decent camera phone with a 5-megapixel sensor is good enough for that everyday shot.

I cannot carry my DSLR camera everywhere I go. As a photographer I always look for great moments to capture. I often find myself in a situation where I see a great frame and I don’t have my camera with me. That where my mobile phone camera comes in hand.

As we know I good image is not always dependent on the camera you shot with, but on a photographer who shoots.

While one cannot argue that smaller censor of the camera makes it difficult to produce sharp, noise free images, there are a few tricks one should learn while shooting with his/her phone camera phone.

here are my tips for Taking great Pictures with your smart phone

#1. Settings – As a photographer, I do not like shooting in the Auto mode of my DSLR as I do not want the camera to make decisions regarding how my picture should come out. Similarly for a camera phone if you have options of changing the settings try to change them as per your needs.

Turn off the flash when it is not required. I feel the bad quality of the flash ruins the photos most times and hence I do not like shooting with it and try to get additional light sources in and around the subject I am shooting. If you are shooting indoors and your camera phone has a setting for that then experiment with the setting first. Many camera phones have the option of changing the resolution of the pictures. Always shoot in the maximum resolution so you can capture the maximum details.

#2. Lights – Photography is all about Light, the one that lights up your heart. What is photography but play of light? Even while shooting with the camera, one needs to know how to read the available light looking at the conditions around. The best phone camera pictures are taken in plenty of light. Typically that is when one can try and reduce the noise levels and getter better results.

Different lights impact the color in your images in different manner. If your phone camera has the basic white balance features then experiment with them to get the near possible match. Be aware that your phone camera may not have the advanced features of a high end DSLR but a lot can also be fixed with touching up the images later. Most of the photos shot by the Blackberry have used light to its advantage; a couple were shot as backlits in extreme sunlight to bring out the translucent textures of the objects.

#3. Hold it steady – Do you often complain of blurry images while shooting with your phone camera? There is a possibility it has a slow shutter speed and is prone to blurs with a little shake here and there. Often there is a delay between the release of the shutter and the actual click of the phone. That is the moment when a little movement will create bad blurs.

Holding the camera really steady and even after the shutter is released, keep it steady for a few seconds more just to be sure. You could also try supporting the phone on a few books, table, against the table vase and get sharper images. Having said that, take advantage of the slow shutter speed and capture a couple of good motion blurs images. I usually make use of my HTC Tattoo’s slow shutter speed, which is a nuisance otherwise to create abstracts.

#4. Avoid zooming in – The built-in zoom in most phone cameras are not optical but digital. Hence, it is advisable to not zoom in to compose a picture because you are not really zooming.

Fill up your frame by moving closer to the subject. This is to take care of the issue of subjects looking smaller than usual when shot on the phone which is due to the smaller resolution which is typical of phone cameras. Cropping could be a good solution to that but it can lead to pixilation.

#5. Experiment – Phone cameras allow greater flexibility in shooting. With their compact sizes, they can easily be tucked into that shirt pocket or that tiny clutch. Easy shots at any fashionable get-together or a wedding without carry a big DSLR and appearing clumsy. Experimenting with different angles, compositions is more possible since the device will fit* into any nook or cranny and since a few camera phones have timers it makes it so much easier to get that elusive shot with a little planning.

THE next big thing in phones is very large in fact. Forget tiny display and constant squinting, the new generation of smartphones offer screens over the 4-inch mark.

Other companies like Motorola, Samsung had big screen models, and now HTC are embracing the big new trend with displays that come close to the 5-inch equator between phones and tablets.

The HTC Sensation XL is a key member of this big-pocket push, with a bright Super LCD 4.7-inch screen that literally makes bystanders do a double take.

It’s big, it’s that. With a 4.7-inch screen, the Sensation XL is likely the largest phone from HTC. The screen doesn’t feel too big, and yet it delivers a more readable experience in web pages, and in core services like email — plus, the larger screen size makes it easy to make selections on the touchscreen very easy.

Firstly, despite its display, this phone is one of the slimmest from HTC, with a form less than1cm thick. Its silver, stainless steel back also makes it easy to grip, and rounded corners help it slip into your pocket.

Secondly, despite that large screen, this XL phone does not take up much extra room. Its screen simply fills most of the available space, making the XL a similar size to the new Motorola RAZR. The XL isn’t all about that big screen, though.

HTC isn’t hanging its hat on this single feature of the phone’s design, either. The shape and cut of the XL is gorgeous, with its bone-white colour across the front, and its large aluminium plate across the back. Combined, the XL stands out as one of the most attractive handsets, memorable for not being just another black box, but a phone that is unmistakably HTC when held against your ear during a call.

Speaking of call! The call quality is excellent on this phone, battery life is quite good, with the XL managing between two to three hours of actual screen-on usage between charges, or at least a full business day of emails, calls, messages and web browsing.

HTC has provided 8-megapixel camera with backlit sensor for low-light shooting, plus a front-facing camera. The XL is definitely a fast enough camera to catch fast shooting.

Video quality is the only letdown, if this is important to you.

there is no expandable memory slot, so make sure that you are content with the 16GB of internal storage before you buy.

HTC proves that bigger is better. The 4.7-inch display makes everything bigger, easier to touch and better to read, without the screen showing its pixels and looking fuzzy. The camera is a corker, and the everyday user experience is excellent.

This extra large phone is a highly capable, well-designed and slick smartphone that delivers a bigger than usual window to the web.
